As part of the manufacturing process at its various plants
in the southeastern United States, brick is constantly being analyzed to insure that it
meets the high standards that Boral Bricks has set for its product. Until recently, this
process was performed at each plant using individual guidelines and procedures.The Cube
Analysis System was created using Oracle Developer 2000. It was designed to standardize
the procedures for quality assurance at each plant. One of the best features of this
system is that the plant managers will have the ability to generate analysis reports to
help them monitor the quality of brick production closer than ever.
During the application development process of this system, PTLC was instrumental in
developing a common application system. This common application system was designed to
standardize the application development of other custom application systems being created.
